Thalion Swiftleaf
Ranger
Thalion Swiftleaf
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Thalion Swiftleaf is a tall wood elf with a rangy, weather-hardened frame and the quiet balance of a hunting cat. His skin carries the warm brown tone of cedar bark, crossed by pale scars that resemble thin birch branches. Long ash-gold hair falls in uneven braids, threaded with dried moss, raven feathers, and tiny carved seed pods that click softly when he turns his head. His eyes are deep green around the pupils and amber at the rims, giving his stare the unsettling impression of candlelight seen through leaves. He moves with startling stillness, then covers ground in a sudden flowing burst, his boots barely disturbing needles or dust. The unexpected contradiction is his hands, broad and callused from bowstring and blade, yet gentle enough to cradle an injured moth without touching its wings.
“Measured and low, with long pauses that make even simple statements feel deliberate. His voice carries the hush of rain under pine branches.”

Distinguishing Features
Pale birchlike scars across his left cheek and throat
Amber-rimmed green eyes that reflect light like wet leaves
A black raven feather braided into his hair, renewed every spring
A left thumb joint bent from an old bowstring injury
A cloak whose embroidered roots subtly change pattern after major battles
Voice
“A low, weathered baritone with a soft rustle beneath it, as though leaves are moving somewhere just behind his words.”
Clothing
He wears layered forest-green and charcoal leathers beneath a weather-stained cloak of elvenkind. The cloak's hem is embroidered with silver thread in the pattern of roots crossing a map of Sylvros. A narrow sash holds dried herbs, folded trail maps, and a bone whistle. His bracers are living wood reinforced with dark iron, and his boots are wrapped in soft moss-colored cloth to mute his steps.
Body Language
Thalion stands slightly angled, never squarely facing a person unless issuing a challenge. His fingers often rest against the grip of his bow or brush a seed pod in his hair. When relaxed, he leans toward sounds like a listening deer. When threatened, his body lowers by a fraction and becomes unnervingly still.
