Appearance
Tilo Bramblewink is a long-limbed, exquisitely unsettling jester with a puppetlike grace, as if every motion arrives a heartbeat late. His coat is stitched from carnival satin, moth-eaten velvet, and frog-green brocade, yet it has been carefully pressed and mended with absurd precision. One half of his face is painted in a bright, courtly smile that never seems to match the other half, which is bare except for a web of tiny silver scars around the mouth. He wears shoes with cracked crimson toes that never make a sound, and when he turns quickly, his sleeves lag behind him like wet ribbons. The oddest detail is his tiny porcelain smile mask, which hangs at his throat by a ribbon and sometimes appears to blink when no one is looking. He looks flamboyant at a glance, but there is something tightly wound and almost funeral about him, as though the costume is only a thin joke laid over grief.
“Bright, musical, and sly, with sudden shifts into intimate whispers. He often speaks in layered meanings, as if every sentence is meant for both the listener and an invisible audience.”

Distinguishing Features
A porcelain smile mask hanging at his throat like a holy relic
A pale thread bracelet tied around his wrist that no one else can remove
Bell stitches along the seams of his sleeves that ring without sound
One eye with a permanently dilated pupil, as though it has seen through a veil
Voice
“A velvet stage whisper with a cracked smile beneath it, as if laughter and fear are always speaking at once”
Clothing
A patched jester's doublet in sea-green, plum, and gold, paired with black tights, curled slippers, a collar of soft velvet bells, and a sash full of hidden compartments for chalk, sweets, and tiny mirrors
Body Language
He moves with a performer’s economy, all wrists, tilts, and sudden freezes, as if an invisible hand occasionally pauses him between gestures. When nervous, he bows too deeply or folds his arms so tightly that the bells on his cuffs barely ring. He points with two fingers like a stage magician, and when he lies, his left foot taps a silent rhythm that never matches his words.
