Dandamara Shilden
Patron and grove mediator
Dandamara Shilden
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Dandamara Shilden moves like a woman who learned to walk on wet roots, balanced and deliberate, yet she always seems half a step behind her own thoughts. Her skin is weathered olive with fine lines like bark grain around the eyes and mouth, and one wrist bears a pale scar in the shape of a ringed branch where a blight charm once burned through her glove. She has a severe, elegant face softened by unexpectedly kind dimples when she smiles. Her hair is a dark chestnut threaded with silver and braided with beads of carved horn and tiny seed-pods that click softly when she turns her head. One side of her robe is stitched from rich ceremonial green silk, while the other is patched with rough burlap and sap stains, as if she cannot decide whether to appear as a noble patron or a field ranger. She leaves the impression of someone both rooted and restless, like a sacred tree buffeted by a storm but refusing to bend.
“Measured, intimate, and slightly formal, with the cadence of someone trained in council chambers and old shrine chants. She chooses words carefully, but when she is moved she speaks with a warm, low urgency that makes even warnings feel like confessions.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar shaped like a ring of bark around her left wrist.
A silver braid cord woven through her hair with tiny seed-pods that softly rattle.
One ceremonial sleeve is always immaculate while the other is stained with sap and soot.
Her right thumbnail is permanently darkened from years of pressing seal-wax and resin charms.
Voice
“A low, clear contralto with a dry edge, like wind moving through old leaves over polished stone.”
Clothing
Layered grove-regalia of moss-green silk, barkcloth sleeves, a sash of braided reed cord, and a formal mantle lined with copper leaf embroidery. She wears practical boots hidden beneath ceremonial hems and keeps a small satchel of field tools under the mantle.
Body Language
Controlled and economical, with hands that rest lightly on the nearest living thing. She often tilts her head as if listening to something beneath the floorboards, and her stillness becomes sharper when the subject turns to politics.
