Venris Thorne
Commoner Captain
Venris Thorne
Species
Human
Appearance
Venris is a narrow, weather-hardened reedlander with skin browned by sun, silt, and years of rain. His hands are scarred and rope-boned, always smelling faintly of peat smoke and crushed green stalks. He moves with a still, listening economy, as if every step has already been tested for soft ground. A tarnished captain's clasp holds his cloak in place, yet beneath that stern uniform he wears a bright teal scarf stitched with tiny silver fish, an unexpectedly cheerful thing that he never explains. One lens of his reed-goggle is cracked, which makes his stare look both vigilant and slightly haunted.
“Low, precise, and measured, with a habit of pausing before important words as if checking the ground first..”
