Brother Seln
Tribunal zealot and roadside terror
Brother Seln
Species
Human
Appearance
Brother Seln is a narrow, weather-bitten man who seems carved from old fence-posts and bad decisions. His robe is dark wool patched with wagon canvas, prayer cord, and scraps of torn map paper, all of it stiffened by rain, dust, and old blood. He moves with a precise, devotional stillness, then suddenly jerks into swift, unsettling motion like a marionette yanked by a hidden hand. One sleeve is always carefully folded over his wrist, as if protecting a wound, yet he wears a polished silver saint medallion in plain view, an unsettling contradiction of piety and predation. His presence smells faintly of soot, cloves, and wet iron.
“Measured, sermon-like, and intimate even when threatening, as though every sentence is a confession spoken into a chaplain's ear..”

A silver saint medallion worn over his heart, scratched almost smooth.
A soot-black scar climbing from his collarbone to his jaw.
Prayer beads made from shattered axle wood and dried berries.
One boot heel wrapped in iron to make his footsteps sound like a second rider.
Voice
“Low, dry, and carefully enunciated, with the faint rasp of someone who has prayed through sleepless nights and shouted over wagon wheels.”
Clothing
Ash-dark robe layered over a travel vest of stitched leather, prayer cords knotted with bone and copper, mud-splashed boots, and a reinforced belt pouch filled with charms, chalk, and stolen seals.
Body Language
Still as a nailed icon when speaking, with abrupt finger taps on beads, a forward lean when lying, and a reflexive hand over the hidden sleeve when threatened.
