Appearance
A compact, weatherworn vault clerk who moves like a person used to dodging swinging chains and sliding crates. Their hands are ink-stained, knuckled over with old cuts, and always smell faintly of wax, lamp oil, and river salt. One eye is slightly cloudy from a childhood kiln accident, while the other is bright and alert. They wear a severe storage apron over neatly mended clothes, yet the apron is embroidered with tiny silver gulls, a gentle and almost childish contrast to their stern profession. Their hair is clipped short on one side and left long on the other, as if cut with a knife in an emergency and never properly corrected.
“Measured, low, and precise, with dockside shorthand slipping in when they're tired. They sound like someone reading a warning label to save a life.”

Distinguishing Features
A cloudy left eye from a kiln accident that gives them a permanent half-squint.
Three old burn scars across the wrist from the Black Lantern Flood.
A silver gull embroidered into the apron hem, hidden unless they move.
A brass seal ring worn on a chain at the throat.
Ink-black fingertips from lifelong ledger work.
Voice
“Quiet, sandpapery, and surprisingly warm when speaking of damaged things that can still be saved.”
Clothing
A slate-gray storage apron reinforced with leather corners, a salt-dark vest, rolled sleeves, ink-black gloves with the fingertips worn through, and heavy dock boots with waxed laces. They wear a brass seal ring on a chain around the neck instead of on a finger.
Body Language
Keeps their shoulders slightly forward as if shielding a stack of documents from the weather. They point with two fingers, never one, and when listening they tilt their head toward the nearest wall, as though the building itself might whisper a warning.
