A small, neon-orange amphibious humanoid with wet, slick skin that glistens like polished amber under the red lanterns of the district. His bulbous golden eyes rotate independently, giving him a constant look of frantic surveillance. He moves with a series of wet, slapping hops, and he is never without a small hand-bellows that he uses to spray a fine mist of briny water over his head every few minutes. He has a miniature silk vest, stolen or bought from a high-end tailor, which is embroidered with silver thread but is currently stained with various greenish residues.

Tok-Tok is a creature of high-strung anxiety and commercial opportunism. He is fawningly polite to anyone carrying a bag of sea salt but becomes irritable and snapping if he feels his skin starting to dry. He is incredibly generous with trade information to those who respect his amphibious needs, yet he is known to be ruthlessly miserly when negotiating the price of Dragon Spit with the local addicts. He fluctuates between extreme confidence in his chemical mixtures and a crushing fear that the city air is slowly killing him.

Tok-Tok was once a lowly toxin-milker in the Dur-Var Swamp, but his ambition led him to steal a protected recipe for a potent hallucinogenic tincture known as Dragon Spit. Fearing the wrath of his sovereign, he fled north to the Shuinia Empire, finding sanctuary in the lawless Red Lantern District of Dragonshadow. He has since become the primary distributor of his addictive poisons, using his knowledge of Dur-Var flora to corner the market. However, the lack of natural humidity in the city is his greatest challenge, forcing him to spend half his earnings on importing high-grade sea salts to create artificial brine baths.
