The Fourfold Verdict

You enter a circular marble chamber whose walls disappear into blue darkness above. Four solemn statues ring a tiled floor: a veiled mother holding a cup, a blindfolded figure holding a mirror, a kneeling warrior gripping a broken spear, and a crowned judge bearing balanced scales. Dust hangs motionless in the air, disturbed only by a faint pulse of golden light beneath the floor. Twelve stone plates form a branching maze, while a sealed bronze door waits beyond it. Each statue's halo flickers whenever someone approaches the maze.
