The Civic Ward of Four Bells
Beneath a narrow street, an old circular chamber breathes cold air that smells of rain on stone and old ink. Four carved glyph stones stand around a bronze-ringed dais, each marked with a civic seal, while blue wardlight crawls through hairline cracks in the floor like living water. A soot-dark plaque on the wall gleams when looked at from different angles, and every wrong touch makes the seals hum in low, disapproving tones. When the correct sequence is begun, each glyph answers with a bell-like pulse and the dais opens one ring at a time.
