Nhal Behind the Green Glass
The greenhouse door stands at the end of a cobbled urban alley like a sealed mouth, its glass panes webbed with frost despite the warm stink of damp soil and lamp oil. Four infernal rune-plates sit around the iron latch, each sunk into brass tarnished by smoke and old fingerprints, and every wrong touch makes the frame tick, exhale hot breath, and flare a dull red behind the glass. Somewhere beyond the door, hidden under the perfume of rot and winter herbs, lies the murderer’s secret work, and the ward seems less like a lock than a warning written in fire.
