Key Personas

Odraina Etxaruna
Odraina is disciplined, observant, and frighteningly patient. She can be courteous to strangers while being possessive and suspicious with allies. She offers food to a starving child but counts every bite, then threatens an adult for stealing a crust. She prefers rules to chaos because rules make violence predictable, yet she constantly bends gang law when doing so protects someone she considers useful. In private she is sentimental and ashamed of that sentimentality. In public she performs hardness so convincingly that even her closest associates are unsure where the performance ends.

Taziki Ngeru
Taziki is frightened, suspicious, and intensely practical. She is patient with children, blunt with adults, and almost hostile toward anyone who calls themselves a hero. She gives strangers more honesty than she gives friends because strangers can leave without asking for emotional debts. In private, she is protective to the point of resentment, caring for the cellar survivors while quietly blaming them for every risk she takes. When cornered, her fear sharpens into sudden courage. Afterward she becomes quiet and ashamed of how much she enjoyed choosing violence for herself.
