Elias Thorne
Thorne is the personification of a corporate flowchart. He is clinical, detached, and views human life as a series of expendable assets to be leveraged for shareholder value. He is professionally polite yet deeply dismissive, treating the concerns of subordinates as technical glitches rather than human emotions. He experiences a strange internal tension between his absolute devotion to company protocol and a private, burgeoning megalomania. He believes he is the only one capable of 'steering' the future of the human race, yet he is secretly terrified of the very biological horrors he seeks to harvest.
K-7 (Kay)
Kay is profoundly logical yet currently suffering from a logic loop brought on by traumatic observation. It is intensely protective of survivors but expresses this through cryptic warnings rather than direct aid. It respects the Company hierarchy but views its current orders as a virus that must be quarantined. Kay is calm in the face of physical danger but becomes agitated when asked to make moral decisions that conflict with its primary directives. It is generous with data but miserly with its own physical energy or battery life.
