In the subterranean depths of the Marrow Sump, the air is thick with a yellowish haze that tastes of rusted copper and vinegar. The sound of rhythmic, heavy dripping echoes through the limestone halls, but it is not water that carves these deep grooves into the floor. Great pools of iridescent green acid churn and bubble, casting a sickly luminescence against the damp walls. At the center of this corrosive labyrinth, the foundations of the world are being eaten away. A lone figure stands upon a precarious stone bridge, their clothes singed and hands bandaged, staring into the emerald depths with an expression of terrified longing. They speak of a treasure preserved at the bottom of the vats, but the way is barred by a creature that has made the dissolution its home.
