The Brass Compass
The tavern began as a caravanserai built beside a forgotten trade route, long before the surrounding settlement became a city. Its founder, a half-elven explorer named Sava Ruun, welcomed merchants, treasure hunters, scholars, and anyone who could pay in coin or useful stories. Over the years, the building survived a basilisk attack, a thieves' guild fire, and a brief occupation by a wandering elemental cult. Each disaster added another repair, secret passage, or tradition. Today, the haven is famous for offering a safe bed to adventurers who have returned from places most maps leave blank.
