Quirks
Despite the roaring ocean just twenty feet from the door, the interior is eerily silent, save for the crackle of the fire and the low hum of conversation. The scent of salt disappears the moment the door closes, replaced by expensive pipe tobacco and fresh cedarwood.

Intrigue
What locals say
Legend says the massive stones used for the hearth were taken from a giant's cairn in the north, which is why the fire never seems to go out and the room remains warm even during the harshest sea gales.
