Light's Haven
Light's Haven began as a workers' boarding house beside a failing subterranean heat engine. Its founder, Mara Vey, rebuilt the boiler with salvaged dwarven components, turning the building into a warm refuge for miners, artificers, couriers, and adventurers. Over the years, the inn became a neutral meeting place between rival guilds and a quiet sanctuary for people fleeing corrupt authorities. A disastrous explosion destroyed half the original structure, but the surviving residents rebuilt it around the old engine. The modern inn retains the welcoming layout of a neighborhood bar, with a broad central room, a rear balcony, a basement training pit, and a cozy second floor for lodging.
