Available Mounts and Gear
The stables currently house twelve riding horses for rent (10 gold pieces per day) and three trained warhorses available for purchase (400 gold pieces each). They also stock high-quality leather saddles, saddlebags, and specialized cold-weather blankets for mountain travel.
The Iron Forge
Gilda Hammerfoot operates a forge at the rear of the building. For a premium fee of 50 gold pieces, she can apply 'Silvered Shoes' to a mount, allowing its hooves to strike with the properties of silvered weapons, or 'Mountain Treads' which grant the horse advantage on checks to traverse icy or rocky terrain.
Security and Hounds
At night, the stable is guarded by two large mastiffs named Barnaby and Belle. The main doors are barred from the inside, and Silas keeps a loaded heavy crossbow under his desk in the small office overlooking the main floor.
Denizens
