A slender spire of bleached white stone rising from a jagged sea stack. It is connected to the mainland of Arcanport by a series of three enchanted, floating stone bridges that pulse with arcane energy. The exterior is etched with silver runes that glow softly in the twilight, and large banners of wind-resistant silk fly from its upper balconies.

The air inside is cool and smells of salt and ozone. A constant, low-frequency hum vibrates through the floors, punctuated by the rhythmic clicking of brass gears and the distant sound of crashing waves.

History
Arcane Security Measures
The tower is protected by several Level 5 appropriate hazards. The entry bridge requires a 'Key of the Tide' to stabilize, or a DC 15 Dexterity save to cross without falling. Internal security includes a Glyph of Warding (Explosive Runes) on the vault door and two Animated Armors that activate if anyone enters the Magister's study without her presence.
The Archive Vault
Located on the second floor, this library contains hundreds of star charts and coastal maps. A locked iron grate protects the Restricted Collection, which holds a 'Scroll of Control Water' and a 'Manual of Golems' (incomplete). Gaining access requires the Magister's signet ring or a successful DC 18 Thieves' Tools check.
Celestial Navigation Lab
The fourth floor is a dedicated workspace for wizard apprentices. It is cluttered with copper orreries, vials of powdered starlight, and several unfinished experiments. At any time, there are 1d4 apprentices here who may be helpful or may accidentally cause a minor magical surge (Wild Magic Table) if distracted.
Denizens
Meticulous, impatient with incompetence, but deeply protective of her students.
A nervous human youth with ink-stained fingers who is currently panicking over a misplaced elemental scroll.
A bronze-clad arcane construct that patrols the spiral stairs, asking for passwords in a grinding, metallic voice.
Rumors & Plot Hooks
- 1.The apprentices are secretly trying to summon a marid to help with the tower's plumbing.
- 2.A rare scroll of True Seeing is hidden somewhere in the library rafters, forgotten by a previous master.
- 3.The floating bridges occasionally fail for a few seconds during heavy thunderstorms.
Classified Entry
The tower's foundation is built atop a dormant rift to the Plane of Water, which Magister Thorne is secretly siphoning to power the city's streetlights.
