The Frozen Basin
A sturdy place of worship built into a limestone cave system, now partially reclaimed by the mountain. Its floors are slick with ice and its walls bear the deep gashes of mountain-dwelling predators. Despite the burial under snow and rock, the shrine remains a pocket of strange, unnatural stillness within the frozen earth.

The Frozen Basin
Bone-chillingly cold and filled with a heavy, expectant silence. Light filters in through cracks in the ceiling, creating pillars of blue-tinted radiance that illuminate dancing dust and frost motes.

History
Divine Rites
Visitors may participate in the Rite of the Hearth, a communal meditation that grants resistance to cold damage for 24 hours. This requires a successful DC 13 Wisdom (Religion) check and two hours of absolute stillness around the central basin.
Sacred Relics
The small reliquary behind the altar contains the Shard of Summer, a piece of amber that radiates constant warmth in a 30-foot radius. It is currently used to keep the Abbot's living quarters habitable.
Winter Hazards
The tunnels leading to the shrine are frequently patrolled by ice mephits. Occasionally, a hungry crag cat will venture into the entrance hall, necessitating the heavy iron bolts on the inner sanctum doors.
Denizens
Stoic, hospitable, and fiercely protective of the shrine's remaining sanctity.
A scarred half-ogre who spends his days maintaining the few remaining braziers and polishing the stone floors.
A snowy owl that seems to understand Common and brings small scraps of news from the mountain surface to the Abbot.
