History
Survival Curriculum
Students spend three afternoons a week learning 'Forest School' skills. This includes fire starting, shelter construction, and predator distraction techniques. By the time a student reaches middle school, they are expected to be able to navigate back to town from five miles deep in the woods without a compass.
Perimeter Defense Protocols
The school is treated as a minor fortification. During 'Wilderness Alerts,' children are trained to retreat to the Canteen, which has reinforced shutters and a direct underground tunnel to the infirmary. The wall is patrolled during recess by two armed guards hired from the local town watch.
The Care and Hygiene Wing
Due to a localized phenomenon affecting the students, the school maintains a large nappy changing room and laundry facility. It is stocked with high-quality diapers, changes of clothes, and herbal ointments. This facility is managed with great care to ensure the dignity of the students is maintained while keeping the school sanitary.
Social Interaction Pavilions
The Wendy Houses are sophisticated roleplay environments. The elementary version is a miniature town hall and market, while the middle school version is a simulated wilderness camp. These areas are designed to foster social cohesion and prepare children for the complex social and survival hierarchies of forest life.
Denizens

Rumors & Plot Hooks
- 1.The ancient oak in the center of the yard whispers answers to history tests if you sit by it long enough.
- 2.Some believe the unusual continence issues among the students are caused by a mischievous sprite living in the well.
- 3.Instructor Silas supposedly has a map leading to a hidden druid grove somewhere in the north woods.
Classified Entry
The school's foundation is built over a dormant ley line. The magical residue in the groundwater is what causes the local children's physical developmental quirks and weakened bladder control, but it also grants them an instinctive knack for nature magic as they reach adulthood.
