The High Spring
Located at the end of a winding mountain path, The High Spring consists of a series of limestone basins overflowing with unnaturally clear, glowing water. While there are small marble alcoves and polished stone walkways, most of the site is integrated directly into the side of a moss-covered cliff where a waterfall tumbles into a central pool.

The air is heavy with the scent of wild lilies and damp earth. A profound silence hangs over the area, broken only by the rhythmic splash of water. Visitors often feel a physical weight on their shoulders, an invisible pressure that discourages loud speech or rapid movement.

History
Divine Prohibitions
The site is protected by a permanent Hallow spell. Creatures of Evil alignment feel a profound sense of dread and take 2d6 radiant damage for every minute they stay within the boundary stones. Casting any spell that deals necrotic damage immediately triggers a thunderous rebuke from the spirit, effectively a 5th level Glyph of Warding.
Sacred Rites of Approach
To enter the inner circle without drawing the ire of the spirit, a person must perform the Rite of the Silver Leaf. This involves washing one's hands in the lower stream and placing a leaf of pure silver (worth 10gp) into the Offering Basin while remaining completely silent.
The Spirit's Boon
A level 5 party that manages to communicate with Elowen and proves their nobility may be granted a vial of Living Water. This functions as a Potion of Greater Healing that also removes one condition (Poisoned, Paralyzed, or Blinded).
Denizens

An aged man who lives in a simple hut half a mile down the trail. He ensures that pilgrims do not cross the boundary stones and provides guidance on how to leave respectful offerings.
A giant eagle that nests atop the cliff. It is said to be the eyes of the spirit, circling any who approach with suspicious intent.
Rumors & Plot Hooks
- 1.Anyone who drinks from the source of the spring is cured of all diseases but can never leave the mountain again.
- 2.A legendary sword was cast into the depths of the pool by the demigod to prevent it from being used for war.
- 3.If the spring ever runs red, it means the guardian has been slain and the valley is doomed.
Classified Entry
The demigod is not protecting the people from the spring, but rather protecting the world from what lies beneath it. The water acts as a seal over a gateway to a plane of pure, chaotic energy that would disintegrate any mortal flesh.
