QA Probe Order

The QA Probe Order trains Grave-Wardens to observe, test, and isolate supernatural threats. Their lantern spirits project diagnostic marks, expose weaknesses, and identify the safest intervention. A Probe is less concerned with dramatic destruction than with finding the exact point where an enemy, curse, or battlefield crisis can be corrected.

The QA Probe Order

Spellcasting & Powers

None. QA Probes use supernatural lantern diagnostics, gravefire marks, and martial intervention rather than spellcasting.

Multiclassing

No additional multiclassing requirements beyond those of the Grave-Warden. The subclass benefits most from Strength or Dexterity for weapon attacks and Wisdom for perceptive, investigative, and support-focused play, if the base class uses those abilities for its features.

Proficiencies

You gain Investigation proficiency, or Medicine or one tool proficiency if you already have Investigation. You retain all armor, shield, weapon, and other proficiencies granted by Grave-Warden.

Training & Initiation

Applicants apprentice under an experienced Grave-Warden, learning anatomy, evidence handling, monster behavior, and controlled lantern communication. Initiation requires diagnosing a hidden supernatural hazard without causing panic, then using the lantern to resolve it with the least possible harm.

Societal Perception

Ordinary people often appreciate a QA Probe after a rescue but feel uneasy under their scrutiny. They are welcomed during plagues, hauntings, and unexplained deaths, yet feared by criminals, corrupt officials, and anyone hiding a dangerous secret.
