The Leadbound Owlbear Window
This simple guardian hazard is the petrified image of a druid's owlbear, cursed into a cathedral window. It remains alert whenever sunlight strikes the glass, projecting portions of its body into the room as coloured, razor-edged light.

Detection
“A life-sized stained-glass owlbear crouches within a tall cathedral window. Ruby, amber, cobalt, and emerald panes form its feathers and fur, while thick black lead lines define its hooked beak, massive claws, and hunched silhouette. Bright sunlight passes through the coloured glass and paints a shifting owlbear-shaped mosaic across the dusty floor.”
Standard Engagement
A creature enters the cathedral's inner sanctuary or knowingly crosses the coloured sunbeam without first offering a prayer or sign of respect to nature.
The hazard uses Gilded Pounce against the nearest creature standing in the coloured sunbeam. If no creature is in the sunbeam, it instead shifts the projected owlbear silhouette across the floor, causing the sunbeam to cover a 10-foot burst centered on a point within 60 feet of the window. Creatures in that burst must attempt the effect's Reflex save.
The hazard resets at the start of the next round after Gilded Pounce, provided sunlight still strikes the window. If the sunbeam is blocked, it resets when bright sunlight returns.
The owlbear silhouette tears free from the sunbeam as a translucent beast of coloured glass and attacks one creature in the hazard's area. The target attempts a DC 22 Reflex save. Critical Success: No effect. Success: 2d6 slashing damage. Failure: 3d6 slashing damage and 1 persistent bleed damage. Critical Failure: 3d6 slashing damage, 1d6 persistent bleed damage, and the target is knocked prone.
When Gilded Pounce deals damage, the target is outlined in vivid coloured light until the end of its next turn. While outlined, it takes a -2 circumstance penalty to Stealth checks and cannot be concealed by the hazard's coloured illumination.
The hazard occupies the window and its projected sunbeam. It can affect creatures within 60 feet of the window as long as direct bright sunlight passes through at least one intact pane.
The projected owlbear is made of light and glass. It cannot flank, be grabbed, or be physically attacked while it is projected onto the floor. Effects that block light, alter the window, or target curses can affect the hazard normally.
If the window is reduced to 0 HP without first being disabled, the curse bursts outward. Each creature within 15 feet attempts a DC 22 Reflex save, taking 4d6 slashing damage on a failure or half damage on a success. The hazard is then destroyed, but the owlbear's spirit remains trapped in the largest surviving shard.
