The House Always Loses

The defeated clockwork riflemen and sharpshooters collapse across the casino floor, scattering brass casings, broken lenses, and glittering gaming tokens beneath the overturned tables. Their metal bodies contain little that can be sold intact, but careful salvage reveals valuable clockwork components and a command cylinder holding fragments of the casino's security network. The machines had also been used to confiscate winnings from patrons and conceal them in their armored compartments. Among the stolen currency, gemstone dice, healing draught, and fine thieves tools is evidence that the hunted casino thief had been preparing for a much larger score. The strange enchanted tokens may help the party locate the thief's hidden escape route before the casino's owners realize their guards have been dismantled.
