Sands of Retrograde

A palm-sized hourglass crafted from polished obsidian and silver filigree. The sand inside is composed of crushed sapphire dust that sparkles with a rhythmic, pulsing light. Rather than falling, the sand drifts slowly upward when the device is inverted, defying gravity in a slow, hypnotic spiral.
