Staff of Power

This staff is a masterwork of alien geometry, seemingly grown rather than carved. Its shaft is composed of an iridescent, calcified material recovered from a mind flayer nautiloid, spiraling upward like a solidified stream of thoughts. A web of copper-like psionic conduits pulses with a faint violet light, culminating in a fist-sized amethyst that hums with a low frequency telepathic static. The surface feels like warm, polished bone and is perpetually cold to the touch at the tip.
