This crossbow bolt appears indistinguishable from a standard piece of ammunition at a distance. Upon closer inspection, the shaft is carved from polished ash with faint, silver-inlaid runes that represent the concept of 'threshold' or 'doorway'. The fletching is made from the translucent feathers of a blink dog, which shimmer slightly when moved through the air. Despite its wooden construction, the bolt feels unusually dense and vibrates with a low, nearly imperceptible hum when held.
