The Crimson Retort

The blade of this longsword is forged from folded 'blood-iron' which gives the steel a shimmering, deep crimson hue that never fades. The edge is micro-serrated, designed to catch and tear flesh with every swing. Its pommel is a heavy, lead-filled sphere engraved with the crest of a fallen martial order, and the hilt is wrapped in the cured hide of a red dragon. When drawn, the blade lets out a faint, rasping sound like a final breath.
