A hilt made of chitinous, insectile plating that drips a thick, oily shadow. The blade itself is not solid metal but a shifting, semi-liquid mass of violet-black necro-matter that constantly whispers in a faint elven dialect. When it changes shape, it emits a sound like cracking ice and chitinous chittering.
