Tremor Coral

Tremor Coral is a palm-sized cluster of pale green and ivory coral that seems to have been dredged from the bottom of an inland sea, though tiny rootlets thread through it like veins. When held, it gives off a damp, living warmth and hums faintly, as if a heartbeat is trapped inside the stone. Its branching spikes are smooth at the tips, ringed with leaf-like ridges, and each piece is veined with shimmering motes of gold that pulse faster when placed on soil, stone, or packed earth. Crushing the coral releases a burst of fragrant brine and sap, and the fragments briefly sprout into a crown of roots before sinking into the ground.
