Cloak of the Laughing Veil

This floor-length cloak is woven from velvet so dark it seems to drink torchlight, yet every fold flashes with silver thread like a wink in moonlit water. Its clasp is a little mirrored fox mask set with a chip of green glass for an eye. When worn, the lining ripples with tiny shifting scenes of masked balls, locked vaults, and grinning silhouettes. The hood never sits quite the same way twice, as if an invisible hand is always adjusting your disguise.
