Haemovore, the Pulsing Aorta

This horrific blade is forged entirely from biological matter. The hilt is a polished human femur wrapped in supple, stained leather that feels suspiciously like cured skin. In place of a steel blade, a jagged length of ossified spinal column forms the core, encased in a translucent sheath of hardened, razor-sharp cartilage. Thick, purple tendons pulse rhythmically along the flat of the blade, and a central artery, the 'Aorta,' runs from the pommel to the tip, visibly pumping dark, glowing ichor when combat begins.
