Bell of the Quiet Tide

A small, hand-held bell carved from a single piece of bleached white coral. Its surface is etched with delicate patterns of crashing waves and closed eyelids. When swung, the clapper moves but produces no audible sound to the living, though it leaves a faint scent of brine and ozone in the air.
