The Howling Gavel

This massive executioner axe features a head of matte black iron etched with silver filigree depicting a wolf's pelt. The blade edge is jagged, resembling a line of predatory teeth, and is permanently stained with a dark, oily residue. The pommel is shaped into the snarling head of a dire wolf with glowing crimson rubies for eyes. When swung, the axe emits a low, localized growl that rises to a terrifying howl upon impact.
