Zhengyi, Emperor of Drowned Ages - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Zhengyi, Emperor of Drowned Ages

Once a regional emperor who forged treaties with shadow domains, Zhengyi sought immortality to complete an empire bound across seas. He perfected soul-binding rituals, sacrificial convoys, and the construction of tidal phylacteries. Stories say he bargained with a forgotten lagoon deity and wrote his will upon the bones of his enemies. Many coastal nobles keep lists of names to avoid lest they attract his attention.

Magic Resilience. Zhengyi has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Phylactery of the Crown. If Zhengyi is destroyed, he reappears in 24 hours unless his Crown of the Emperor's Night is found and destroyed. While his crown remains intact, his corpse rises as a bone avatar under his command until the crown is broken. The crown is hidden behind three ritual wards and a concealed chamber; each ward requires a different method to disable (arcana , dispel magic at 8th level or greater, or destroy a tide-anchor elsewhere on the coast).
Undying Sovereign. Zhengyi is immune to effects that turn undead and to any spell that would restore him to life if his phylactery is intact.
Blood of the Empire. When an allied undead creature within 60 feet takes damage, Zhengyi may use his reaction to absorb up to 20 points of that damage, converting it into temporary hit points equal to the damage absorbed.
Legendary Resistance. Zhengyi has Legendary Resistance 3 per day. If he fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Withering Grasp. Melee Spell Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 () necrotic damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have its hit point maximum reduced by the necrotic damage taken. A creature reduced to 0 hit point maximum dies and rises as a zombie under Zhengyi's control at the start of his next turn. This effect can be cured by Greater Restoration or similar magic.
Siphon of Ages. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 45 () radiant or necrotic damage (Zhengyi chooses when he makes the attack) and the target must make a Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of Zhengyi's next turn.
Spellcasting. Zhengyi casts spells from his spell list. See Spells section for prepared spells and spellcasting details.
Abyssal Rift. Zhengyi opens a ragged rift in the ground at a point he can see within 90 feet. A 20-foot-radius circle is filled with writhing shadow for 1 minute. Each creature that starts its turn in the area takes 27 () necrotic damage and must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls until the start of its next turn. The area is difficult terrain for creatures that are not undead. Once Zhengyi uses this action, he cannot use it again until he finishes a short or long rest.
Arcane Parry. When a creature Zhengyi can see within 30 feet casts a spell that targets only him, Zhengyi may attempt a Counterspell as a reaction with a +15 spell attack equivalent, treating the caster's spell level as up to 9th. If the caster's spell level exceeds 5th, Zhengyi must succeed on a spellcasting ability check (d20 + 12) to counter it.
Arcane Minutiae (Costs 2 Actions). Cast a cantrip or unspent 1st-level spell from his list.
Disruptive Pulse (Costs 3 Actions). Disruptive Pulse. Zhengyi emits a pulse of necromantic energy; each creature of his choice within 30 feet must succeed on a Constitution save or have disadvantage on saving throws until the end of its next turn.
Command Undead (Costs 4 Actions). Command Undead. Zhengyi targets one undead creature he can see within 120 feet that is not under his control. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom save or be charmed and obey Zhengyi for 1 minute.
