Verdant Bladewarden

Rangers and shepherds tell of the Bladewarden as a personification of a field's memory. Farmers leave small offerings where a ring of wildflowers suddenly appears.

Field Bond. Whenever the Verdant Bladewarden is in an area of natural grassland, it regains 5 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point.
Barbed Growth. As a bonus action, the Bladewarden can cause up to a 10 foot square of ground within 30 feet to sprout barbed blades of grass that count as difficult terrain until the end of its next turn. Creatures that enter that area for the first time on a turn take 3 () piercing damage.
Coordinated Maneuver. The Bladewarden can use Coordinated Maneuver to command one ally within 30 feet that can hear it. That ally can take one reaction immediately. The Bladewarden can use this ability a number of times equal to its proficiency bonus per long rest.
Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 () slashing damage. If the target is wearing heavy armor, the Verdant Bladewarden deals an additional 4 () slashing damage.
Javelin. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 () piercing damage. If the target is restrained or prone, the javelin deals an additional 3 () piercing damage.
Multiattack. The Bladewarden makes two scimitar attacks. After the attacks, it can move up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Verdant Strike. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 () necrotic damage and the ground in a 5 foot radius around the target becomes difficult terrain until the start of the Bladewarden's next turn.
Parry. When a creature the Bladewarden can see attacks it with a melee attack, the Bladewarden adds 3 to its AC against that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss.
Protective Lunge. If an ally within 30 feet is hit by an attack, the Bladewarden can, as a reaction, move up to 15 feet without provoking opportunity attacks and make a single scimitar attack against the attacker.
1st level
EntangleConjuration As an action, the Bladewarden can cast Entangle centered on a 20 foot square within 60 feet. Usable 2 times per day.
2nd level
Spike GrowthTransmutation As an action, the Bladewarden can cast Spike Growth centered on a point within 60 feet. Usable 1 time per day.
