Ambush Spider - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Ambush Spider

Blackvale Webhold's keepers learned that some spiders do not build grand webs. They build silence. An ambush spider favors narrow chambers where a victim's first mistake is thinking the room is empty. Veteran delvers say the room itself seems to inhale when one of these spiders is near.

Spider Climb. The spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Silk Step. The spider ignores movement penalties caused by webs it created and treats webbed surfaces as normal terrain.
Still as Dust. The spider has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in dim light, clutter, or among webs.
Fanged Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 () piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 7 () poison damage and be poisoned until the end of its next turn. While poisoned this way, the target's speed is reduced by 10 feet.
Web Snare. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 30/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 () piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or become restrained by sticky webbing. A webbed creature can use its action to make a Strength check, escaping on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed; it has AC 10, HP 5, and damage immunities to poison and psychic.
Sidestep in Silk. When a creature the spider can see hits it with a melee attack, the spider moves up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks, provided it can end the move on a surface it can climb or cling to.
