Pack Coordination. When at least one ally thornwolf is within 30 feet and not incapacitated, thornwolf attacks gain a bonus to hit or the thornwolf can instead grant itself advantage on its first attack each combat.
Surprise Strike. If the thornwolf begins combat while unseen and succeeds on a surprise check, its first successful Bite deals an extra piercing damage. The pack may add identical surprise damage from up to two other members who are also unseen.
Natural Camouflage. The thornwolf can move silently through underbrush and leaf litter. It suffers no movement penalty for difficult terrain from brush and gains advantage on Stealth checks in forested environments.
Writhing Bite. A thornwolf that is grappled by a creature two or more sizes larger or restrained makes an immediate Escape roll with a bonus if it can bite the restrainer.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit: piercing damage. If the target is surprised or the predator has advantage, the target takes an additional piercing damage.
Pounce. The predator charges up to its movement and makes a Bite attack at the end of the charge. If it moves at least 10 feet straight toward the target and hits, the target must succeed on a Strength save or be knocked prone and grabbed. The predator can maintain the grab with its jaws. A grabbed creature takes piercing damage at the start of the predator's turn.
Coordinated Ambush. As part of a coordinated ambush a pack member within 30 feet that can see the same target may use its reaction to grant the attacker advantage on its next attack against that target. Only one pack member may grant this bonus per round for the same target.
Vengeful Snarl. If a creature within 5 feet of the thornwolf wounds a pack member, the thornwolf may make a single bite attack against that creature as a reaction.
