Scavenger Swarm - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Scavenger Swarm

Since the fall of Black-Rock Keep, the lower levels have become a breeding ground for pests. Over decades, these creatures have evolved a symbiotic swarm behavior, where rats and cockroaches protect one another to bring down larger prey that a single animal could never challenge.

Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny rat or cockroach. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
Keen Smell. The swarm has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Erupt from Cracks. As long as it is within the stone corridors of Black-Rock Keep, the swarm can hide in the cracks of walls even when in plain sight. It has advantage on Stealth checks to hide in these locations.
Bites and Mandibles. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 0 ft., one target in the swarm's space. Hit: 10 () piercing damage, or 5 () piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Scatter. When the swarm takes damage from a single-target attack, it can use its reaction to temporarily thin its mass, gaining resistance to that damage instance as the vermin jump away from the strike.
