Stonewarden

Mountain clans tell of stone folk who awaken to guard family tombs and old pacts. Travelers who leave offerings at waymarkers sometimes find paths eased by a silent guardian's intervention. Some sages claim the stonewarden is the mountain's own conscience made flesh.

Rockborn. The stonewarden has advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks related to moving or smashing stone. It also has advantage on saving throws against being moved or knocked prone by effects that target only it.
Stone Hide. The stonewarden's skin is like weathered granite. It has resistance to cold damage. If the stonewarden would be subjected to a critical hit from a melee attack, roll a d6. On a 1 or 2 the attack deals normal damage instead of critical damage as the hit glances off mineral plating.
Stone Slip. When the stonewarden is within 30 feet of a natural rocky surface it can attempt to slip into crevices and reappear up to 30 feet away as a bonus action. It must end that movement adjacent to a natural rock surface. The stonewarden cannot use this trait if magically restrained.
Multiattack. The stonewarden makes two attacks: one with its Slam and one with its Boulder Throw or two Slams if within 5 feet.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 () bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature of Large size or smaller and the attack hits with a natural 20 it is also pushed 5 feet and knocked prone.
Boulder Throw. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 12 () bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature and it fails a Strength saving throw it is knocked prone. The stonewarden can hurl only one boulder until it spends a short or long rest to gather more rock.
Seismic Stomp. Recharge 5-6. The stonewarden stamps the ground with both feet. Each creature on the ground within 15 feet of the stonewarden must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 () bludgeoning damage and falling prone on a failed save, or half as much damage and not prone on a successful one. Loose stones and dust fill a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on the stonewarden and count as difficult terrain until the end of the stonewarden's next turn.
Dust Brace. When a creature the stonewarden can see makes a ranged attack targeting a creature within 15 feet of the stonewarden, the stonewarden impose disadvantage on the attack roll by bracing and whipping a spray of dust and pebbles at the attacker. Usable once per round.
