The Choir at the Breach created the first Rift-Touched Brute by chaining a captured giant to the edge of a planar wound. The transformation erased most of the victim's identity, leaving behind a creature that responds to the choir's harmonics as though they were commands. Some brutes still remember a single name, family, or battlefield oath, and that memory can briefly interrupt their obedience.
