Tsuchigumo - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Tsuchigumo

Farmers whisper of a great spider that once bound a mountain hermit to protect his shrine. Some say the tsuchigumo are spirits of misplaced vows spun into silk. Folklore warns that stepping into a tsuchigumo's web without a burning brand invites slow madness as illusions feed on fears.

Magic Web Illusion. The tsuchigumo's web illusions look and behave like real webbing but grant advantage on Deception and Stealth checks made by the tsuchigumo while they persist. Creatures that examine the web closely can make an Intelligence (Investigation) check contested by the tsuchigumo's Arcana to recognize the illusion.
Silk Weaver. The tsuchigumo can move through nonmagical difficult terrain created by its webs without penalty. It can anchor and manipulate up to five special rune-knots in its lair; each knot acts as a one-use trap that the tsuchigumo can detonate as a lair action.
Toxic Physiology. The tsuchigumo's poison is potent. A creature that starts its turn grappling or restrained by the tsuchigumo takes 5 poison damage. The tsuchigumo is immune to the poisoned condition from normal poison but can be affected by magical poisons.
Innate Spellcasting. The tsuchigumo's innate spellcasting uses Intelligence as its spellcasting ability (spell save , to hit with spell attacks).
Multiattack. The tsuchigumo makes two attacks: one bite and one with its web (or two bite attacks).
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 () piercing damage plus 7 () poison damage. If the target is a creature, the tsuchigumo can attempt to grapple it as part of the same attack (escape ). On a hit, the target is also ensnared in sticky silk (see Web) until it escapes.
Web. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 30/60 ft., one Large or smaller creature. Hit: The target is restrained by thick, magically reinforced silk. A creature restrained by the web can use its action to make a Strength check to break free, or a Dexterity check to slip out. The web can be attacked (AC 12, HP 20, vulnerability to fire). If the web is destroyed, creatures restrained by it are no longer restrained but remain entangled in sticky silk until they succeed on a Strength or Dexterity check. The silk resists mundane attempts to cut it; magical fire severs it instantly.
Spit Toxin. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 30 ft., one target. Hit: 10 () poison damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. While poisoned this way the target takes 5 () poison damage at the start of each of its turns. A poisoned creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. On a successful save against the initial attack, the target takes half damage and is not poisoned.
Silk Shadow. When a creature the tsuchigumo can see attacks it, it can wrap a flash of silk into the air to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. Usable once per round.
Cantrips
Innate Spellcastingvarious The tsuchigumo can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). At will: minor illusion, fog cloud. 2/day each: suggestion, mirror image. 1/day: major image.
