Kobold Smoker

Created by twisted experiments during the Siege of Ironsgate, these kobolds were chosen for frailty and curiosity. Aster's alchemists selected them for their willingness to tamper with unknown plants, binding small concentrations of Green Mist into portable canisters so troops could control the fog on demand.

Mistborn Adaptation. The smoker is adapted to the Green Mist and automatically succeeds on saving throws and checks to resist effects listed as 'Green Mist sickness' and ignores the poisoned condition from that source.
Ghost in the Fog. When within its own Green Mist (from a canister or sprayer), the smoker has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and on saving throws to avoid being grappled or restrained.
Unstable Obedience. These kobolds are notoriously difficult to command. If targeted by a Command spell or effect, the smoker has disadvantage on the saving throw but if it fails the smoker might interpret the command oddly or attempt subversive actions at the DM's discretion.

Green Canister (Recharge 5-6). The kobold hurls a compact canister up to 20 feet that explodes on impact in a 10-foot-radius sphere of choking green mist. Each creature in the area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save a creature takes 9 () poison damage and is poisoned until the end of its next turn. On a successful save the creature takes half damage and is not poisoned. The mist lingers for 1 minute, heavily obscuring the area and providing partial immunity to nonmagical gas-based effects within its volume. A wind strong enough to move the cylinder (as per fog cloud) disperses the lingering mist.
Mist Sprayer. The kobold sprays a narrow jet of concentrated Green Mist 15 feet long and 5 feet wide from the nozzle on its back canister. Each creature in the spray must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save a creature takes 7 () poison damage and is blinded until the end of its next turn. On a successful save the creature takes half damage and is not blinded. The kobold can use the sprayer twice, then must spend a short or long rest to recharge its strapped canister enough to spray again.
Reflexive Puff. When hit by a melee attack, the smoker can instantly release a 5-foot-radius puff of green mist centered on itself. Creatures in the puff must succeed on a Constitution save or be blinded until the end of their next turn. Usable once per short rest.
