Garganite Cliffcarver

Shepherds warn of the 'ledge wolves' whose bodies look like mountain bones, and miners speak of veins of luck where cliffcarver nodules are found. Old climbing manuals note where previous collapses occurred and sometimes mark them with weathered sigils to warn of a resident cliffcarver.

Mountain Camouflage. The cliffcarver has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide on rocky or scree-covered terrain.
Stone Sense. The cliffcarver can sense vibrations in the ground. It has tremorsense out to 30 feet and cannot be surprised while it is in contact with the ground.
Rock-Hardened Hide. While the cliffcarver has more than half its hit points, it has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.
Scree Stride. If the cliffcarver starts its turn partially buried or adjacent to loose scree, it can move through occupied spaces of creatures of Large size or smaller and does not provoke opportunity attacks for this movement.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 () piercing damage plus 5 () bludgeoning damage from jagged stone edges.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 () slashing damage. If the target is a creature smaller than the cliffcarver, it is grappled (escape ).
Stonewall Parry. When a creature the cliffcarver can see makes a melee attack against it, the cliffcarver adds 3 to its AC against that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss. It can use this reaction after the attack is declared but before the result is determined.
