Wandering Bone Scouts - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Wandering Bone Scouts

The first Bone Scouts were improvised guardians made from the dead of a siege, their shield halves chosen because they could still hold a corridor. Cult scribes later learned that torn prayer strips fixed to the bones made them more alert, or at least more obedient. In Bone Bastion, scouts are left in places where living trespassers are most likely to hesitate, because hesitation is usually enough for the dead to close in.

Bone-Silent Advance. The scout has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in rubble, dim corridors, or against stone walls.
Rite-Linked Resolve. The scout has advantage on saving throws against being turned while within 30 feet of a cult shrine, necromantic idol, or sealed ossuary altar.
Momentum Bash. When the scout moves at least 10 feet straight toward a target before hitting it with Broken Shield Slam, the target takes an extra 2 damage.
Broken Shield Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 () bludgeoning damage plus 2 () necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pushed 5 feet and lose 5 feet of movement until the start of its next turn.
Prayer Strip Dart. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 4 () piercing damage plus 2 () necrotic damage. On a hit, the scout can pull the strip free from the target's gear or body, causing the target to have disadvantage on its next attack roll before the end of its next turn.
Shield Flick. When a creature the scout can see misses it with a melee attack, the scout adds 2 to its AC against that attack, potentially causing it to miss if it would otherwise hit.
