Bone Cantor
Legends say Bone Cantors were first made when a ward-priest tried to pray a massacre into meaning. The prison they guard is usually older than the shrine itself and contains either a saint's remains, a sealed heresy, or something that should never be allowed to finish speaking. Their chants are not merely prayers but contractual bindings, and any creature that answers them aloud risks joining the vow forever.
