Weed Blight - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Weed Blight

Local kobold cultists tell of 'tree-children' that defend the groves. Hunters say the blights only move when the trees themselves whisper; those who cut into the heartwood find hollow chambers filled with sleeping forms.

Bark Form. The Weed Blight is composed of living corrupted wood. It does not require sleep and is not subject to exhaustion. It takes half damage from bludgeoning attacks made with nonmagical weapons.
Guardian Activation. When a creature other than a Kobold Smoker or a creature the blight recognizes as worship/tender comes within 10 feet of the parent tree or the blight (if the blight is within 5 feet of its parent tree), the Weed Blight erupts from the tree or ground and appears adjacent to that creature. This activation can happen only once per 10 minutes per blight unless the parent tree expends more of its corrupting residue.
Vulnerable to Fire. The Weed Blight is vulnerable to fire damage. It automatically fails Strength checks made to push or break away from fire-based effects.
Multiattack. The Weed Blight makes two claw attacks.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: slashing damage. On a hit the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone as splintering bark jerks at their feet.
Bark Shards. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 30/90 ft., one target. Hit: piercing damage and slashing from embedded bark shards. If the target is wearing nonmagical metal armor, the shards stick and the target has disadvantage on attack rolls until they spend an action to remove them.
Entangling Burst. Recharge 5-6. The Weed Blight slams both palms into the ground. Thorny roots and brittle shoots explode in a 15-foot radius centered on the blight. Each creature in that area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained until the end of its next turn and take piercing damage. A creature restrained by this effect can use its action to make a Strength check () to break free. The ground in the area becomes difficult terrain until cleared.
Deflecting Bark. When a creature the Weed Blight can see hits it with an attack, the blight can force embedded shards to flare, imposing disadvantage on the triggering attack and reducing the damage by 2. Usable 2 times per short rest.
