Iron-muzzled hounds are not bred for elegance. They are trained to ignore people and remember paperwork. In old checkpoint offices, wardens used them to guard route sheets, toll ledgers, and permit seals from thieves who could not be stopped by locks alone. Their muzzles prevent them from shredding everything in sight, but the training remains. A good hound will find the one page that matters and worry it until the room is silent.

Keen Smell. The hound has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell, and it can sniff out paper, ink, ash, and bitter incense even in darkness or fog.
Document Breaker. If a creature within 5 feet of the hound holds a paper document, map, ledger, or route sheet, the hound can make opportunity attacks against that creature even if it takes the Disengage action, provided the hound can smell the item.
Relentless Tracker. The hound has advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track a creature that has handled paper, ink, soot, or incense within the last hour.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 () piercing damage. If the target is wearing or carrying paper, parchment, or a written document, the hound deals an extra 3 () slashing damage as its iron muzzle tears and rakes through the pages and the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or drop one held object of the hound's choice.
Paper-Scent Howl. The hound snaps and snuffles at a creature it can see within 10 feet that is holding or reading a document, map, ledger, or route sheet. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become distracted until the start of its next turn. While distracted, it can't take reactions and has disadvantage on the next ability check it makes to investigate, decipher, or navigate using written information.
Paper Guard. When a creature within 5 feet tries to pick up, pocket, or tear away a paper, ledger, map, or route sheet the hound can see, the hound makes one Bite attack against that creature.
