Kesh
Occult sorcerer
Kesh
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Kesh is a narrow, severe woman whose movements are too economical to seem entirely human. She has the long, fine-boned face and delicate horn buds of a tiefling, but her left cheek is covered by a translucent patch of skin beneath which tiny gold veins pulse like trapped lightning. Her hair hangs in a dense black braid that appears wet even when dry, and the braid slowly uncoils whenever she is angry. She walks with a slight forward lean, as if listening to something beneath the floor. Her hands are stained to the wrists with permanent blue-black ink, yet her fingernails are meticulously polished with pearl dust. The unexpected softness in her appearance comes from a small pink ribbon tied around one horn, a keepsake from a child she once rescued and later abandoned.
“Her voice is low, dry, and intimate, with the careful rhythm of someone reciting terms from a contract. She rarely raises it.”

Distinguishing Features
A translucent gold-veined scar across the left cheek
One short horn wrapped with a faded pink ribbon
A black braid that moves subtly when she is angry
Ink-stained palms and immaculate pearl-dusted nails
A faint second heartbeat audible when she stands near planar magic
Voice
“A husky contralto with a faint double resonance, as though someone just behind her is repeating the final word of every sentence.”
Clothing
A charcoal traveling coat lined with red thread, a high-collared linen shirt, fitted riding trousers, soft boots, and a belt crowded with glass vials. Her gloves are mismatched, one made of pale leather and the other of stitched black velvet.
Body Language
Kesh rarely faces a speaker directly. She angles her body toward doors, windows, and reflective surfaces, constantly measuring escape routes. When lying, she touches the ribbon on her horn. When telling the truth, she becomes perfectly still.
