Sister Ilya Vael
Healer
Sister Ilya Vael
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Sister Ilya moves as if each step has been measured against a pulse count, careful and almost weightless, yet her presence is impossible to ignore. Her horns curve back in smooth matte-black arcs, polished at the tips from years of turning in prayer. One sleeve is always rolled higher than the other, revealing forearms inked with tiny medical sigils and old scar lines laid over them like a palimpsest. Her robes are plain charcoal linen with red stitching at the cuffs, but the hem is lined in expensive silver thread that she insists is only there to remind her of moonlight in a place that rarely sees it. Her left eye is a warm amber gold and her right eye is a pale, cloudy gray from an injury she refuses to discuss. The strangest thing about her is that she smells faintly of rain on hot stone even in the dead of winter, and despite the severity of her work, she wears a small brass bell at her belt that rings with a bright, cheerful note when she walks.
“Low, precise, and almost lullaby-soft, with the habit of finishing hard truths as if they were bedside advice.”
